The official logo for Baku 2015, shown on November 23

The Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov has announced that the official logo for the Baku 2015 First European Games would be first shown on November 23, 2013. The presentation would take place both in Rome and in Baku. It is known that the logo of Baku-2015 would also replace the current caption on the T-shirts of the players of Lens and Atlético football clubs, as per kind suggestion of Mr. Hafiz Mammadov, President of "Baku" FC.

Baku prepares to make history with European Games

Baku is the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan. Known as the City of Contrasts, Baku boasts an interesting blend of traditional values and modern goals. In 2015 this unique city on the southern shores of the Caspian Sea will host the very first European Games. The inaugural edition of the Games – which will be the first pan-continental multi-sport event, will involve some 6000 athletes from the 49 Olympic nations of Europe.
